East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). We commission (buy) NHS Health services in our local area, which covers five key East Lancashire localities. We receive a budget from the Department of Health to plan and pay for these services, including planned hospital care, rehabilitative care, urgent and emergency care, most community health services, and mental health and learning disability services. We do not manage local NHS Hospitals, which are independent trusts, however we do pay for many of the services they offer.
NHS East Lancashire CCG – A Guide for Parents and Carers of Children. The Common Childhood Illnesses handbook is an extensive and informative guide for Parents and Carers of Children, from birth to five years old, to use when assessing and managing their children with minor conditions.
